Hallway sind eine sechsköpfige Band aus München, die wunderbar harmonischen und gefühlvollen Indie/Alternative Rock mit einem feinen Gespür für Songwriting und Melodien spielen. Ihre erste selbstbetitelte EP klingt so gar nicht nach Debüt. Vielmehr sehr vertraut und wie vieles, was man kennt und mag. Dennoch ist da etwas, das einen sofort ganz tief drinnen berührt.

Maßgeblich geprägt von Post-Elliot-Smith Bands und dem Indie der späten 2000er, finden Hallway ihr Nische zwischen Singersongwriter und coming-of-age-Indie, zwischen jugendlicher Leichtigkeit und Teenage Angst. Im Kern sind die Songs von Hallway rohe, tiefgreifende und sehr durchdachte Folk-Stücke, die von der Band zu dynamischen und detailliert instrumentierten Kompositionen erweckt werden - bittersüß in den Ohren und meist drückend im Herzen.

Sängerin und Gitarristin Alma Tyroller begann als Solokünstlerin bereits vor 4 Jahren eigene Stücke zu schreiben. Mit ihrer Schwester Luzia und Schulfreund Felix Fehrle am Bass spielten sie in ihrer Heimatstadt Ingolstadt erste Auftritte. Nach dem Umzug in die größere Stadt München, wuchs auch das musikalische Projekt. Mit Kathrin Schiener an Gitarre, mit Zoe Eserdann an Piano und Saxophon sowie Lorenz Amesbichler am Schlagzeug. Es folgten erste Gigs in Münchner Lokalitäten wie Milla, Kafe Kult, Strom und Import Export.

Die ersten Singles "Compromise", "Aware" und "Hill" sind bereits erschienen.
Die EP erscheint am 19.04.2024 auf new basement und All My Ghosts digital und auf Kassette.

Hallway are a band from Munich who play wonderfully harmonious and soulful indie/alternative rock with a fine feel for songwriting and melodies. Their first self-titled EP doesn't sound like a debut at all. Rather very familiar and like much of what you might know and like. Nevertheless, there is something that immediately touches you deep inside.
Largely influenced by post-Elliot Smith bands and the indie of the late 2000s, Hallway find their niche between singer-songwriter and coming-of-age indie, between youthful lightness and teenage angst. Sweet to the ears and mostly oppressive in the heart.

Singer and guitarist Alma Tyroller began writing her own songs as a solo artist four years ago. With her sister Luzia and school friend Felix Fehrle on bass, they played their first gigs in their home town of Ingolstadt. After moving to the larger city of Munich, the musical project also grew. With Kathrin Schiener on guitar, Zoe Eserdann on piano and sax and Lorenz Amesbichler on drums. This was followed by the first gigs in Munich venues such as Milla, Kafe Kult, Strom and Impot Export.

The first singles "Compromise", "Aware" and "Hill" have already been released.
The EP will be released on April 19th 2024 on new basement and All My Ghosts digitally and on cassette.
